So i’ve given up trying to watch E3 over the net, its being streamed from ign, a web site that i was never really fond of, i always used to lean towards gamespot, i also heard thats its being streamed from xbox.com but i’m past pleasantries, i’m annoyed that i pretty much missed all of the modern warfare 2 section/game-play because it kept stalling, whatever, i grabbed some stills from it so i’m happy. I did manage to get a glimpse of that new tony hawks game, and i noticed on the video there were section of a spike jonze short film (check it here) probably used to promote the game, he also whipped out the first ever skate board peripheral that is just a skateboard, it looked quite cool, with adaptors at the side and it apparently contains accelerometers to sense  moment kinda like the wii fit, i imagine. There were roumers as to how the show would open and funny enough those roumers turned out to be true E3 2009 was opened by 50% of the Beatles (for obvious reasons) and they were introducing their own game.. yup rock band: the Beatles… does exactly what it says on the tin. Apparently abbey road will be available for download so that should be fun, i must point out that i felt awkward on their behalf, it felt like nobody really showed them what they were supposed to be doing, i think ringo even said “i think they just want to make it up as we go ” or summit like that, anyhoo they thanked the crowd for thier support and hoped everybody would go out and but the game, some band demonstrated the game, but reality it was boring watching other people enjoy them selves playing a game.

After fetyching myself some coffee, i turned to realize that the video has ’stalled’… brilliant, so i’m sat there gawping at the monitor for like 5 minutes sipping my scalding kenco rapour and sound came from the computer i emmediatly realised what i was watching, it cam one rather soon, good for me but i hadn’t checked the timetable so i was unaware of what order things were being displayed, it was some guy from infity ward demonstaring the game, apparently their going into more detail on thursday, so i’ll try and cover more then. When this stupid pc came round to acting like a mac and just working, ‘ahem’, i saw what looked like a wall of ice, and some dude climbing up a wall of ice, i vividly remember this imagry from the release trailer so i grabed some more stillz from the gameplay footage. When it was working i was quite amused by what i was seeing, i vaugle remeber some kind of titles so it must have been the opening of the game, and i remember seeing some green txt above the other man, and i think it said, captain mctavish, inbetween the farse i had of seeking out space on photoshop and capturing the screen, i actually missed quite a few good bits, the bits i managed to watch thoroughly were so good, that i didn’t want bugger of and paste images onto photoshop.. it was that good! There was some sort of highten impresion that the weight of the gus was heavier and i can’t but help to say that the whole thing was very james bond-esque. the gun that was being used had a slide out monitor to see… through the snow, it was not somethiing moderatly realistic like a thermal screen, it was kind of a mini radar sytem coming from the gun.

Either way the game looks awesome and i can’t wait till Thursday to see more details and gather more intelligence, its not like i’m not allready hyped up enough.
